With our senior card in hand, we were off via "free" bus to visit other parts of the island. One of the first stops was the La Reine Farmer's Market. There were several stalls with the farmers selling all kinds of things we had never seen before. Stan had his first-ever sips of lemon grass tea!  We did pick up some nice leaf lettuce, however. Fishermen also have their fish for sale. One of these days, perhaps we will return for one to bake or grill. Below are some shots of the market.

The red pile of fruit is sorrel. One common use is for making a refreshing cold drink.

The green bumpy looking fruit is called sugar apple, a local favorite. We have yet to try one.
